"Fallen Monolith"

11 x 14 inches, oil on illustration board.

  In a private collection

A fictitious landscape with an invented scene of two Egyptian Obelisks (Egyptian name - Tekhenu - ) perched atop a canyon. The idea here was to highlight these monoliths within a desolate poetic environment. The poetry being of course the hint at a bygone civilization who's science was the study of  earths rhythms and cosmic cycles. They worshiped the sun and as befitting a star, - which is what our sun is - thought of time in the millions of years.
